4th o fJuly weekend

For the 4th we went camping with my dad, step-mom, step-brother, my sister and her boyfriend and kids. It was lots of fun. We were up in the mountains outside of White Sulphur Springs at a reservoire called Newlan. It was so beautiful and I wish I would have taken way more pictures of the scenery but I just totally spaced it out with having so much fun! My dad and step-mom have a paddle boat that Matthew and I went out on for like a half hour and had some time by ourselves. I don't think the temp got above 75 degrees there, so it was really nice. I actually got some sun, so I have a bit of a tan going on now which I am happy about. We had fun visiting, playing games, and swimming (not me of course). We did have a couple not so good things happen. The 4-wheeler broke down because when my step brothers cousin was driving it he didn't realize his foot was on the back brake the whole time so he bled them out and it actually started on fire. Thank goodness just a few things have to be replaced, but it's still going to cost quite a bit of money to fix. And then Matthew was running on the dock to jump off and it was slick at the end of the dock and Matthew's foot slipped and got caught under the 2x4 and swelled up and is really black and blue now. Jim Ellis and the missionaries stopped by last night, talk about perfect timing, and we told them about what happened to Matthew and they gave him a blessing on his foot and the swelling has already gone down quite a bit. I LOVE the power of prayer and blessings! Well I hope you all had a great 4th!
