Sunday Drive

On Sunday as part of our 4th of July fun, Matthew, Tristan, Desirea, Charles and I all went on a little drive. I have never been on the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and Matthew has always wanted to take me so we decided this weekend we would go. It was such a beautiful drive and we had so much fun. I LOVE the mountains. We stopped in Cooke City and had dinner and then took the drive over the Beartooth Pass on our way home. Last time I was on the pass we took it in the dark so I was excited to see it in the daylight since it was beautiful at night. So here are just a few pictures I took. Just starting out, isn't the red rock beautiful? Cute little chipmunk at a scenic lookout we stopped at. What a view! It was gorgeous! Tristan was looking down at Rocky here. Thanks for coming with us Deedz and Charles! Beautiful waterfall along the Beartooth Pass The water was so close to the top of this bridge. Another beautiful scene from the Beartooth Pass. This part of the pass looks just as good at night with the moon glistening on the waterAnd here is our little family at a scenic lookout at a rest area beginning our way down the Beartooth Pass towards Red Lodge. We had so much fun. The weather was pretty cool (and nice) on our drive. When we got to Red Lodge the temp was 69 and beautiful, when we got home to Billings at around 10:00 PM it was still 75! Needless to say Matthew is looking forward to retirement in the mountains! And if he has it his way, it will be much sooner than retirement. Thanks for the idea honey, it was fun!
