Tristan's 1st Birthday!!!

Just a warning that there are a lot of pictures on this post. On Sunday the 27th we celebrated Tristan's 1st birthday! I can't believe he is already 1! We went to church with Grandma and Grandpa Mayes and then later in the afternoon we had family and friends join us out at Joe and Charlene's for some cake and ice cream and to celebrate Tristan's birthday. Here is the cake I made for Tristan. I know it's nothing spectacular but with the costs of our economy I couldn't afford much else! I got this idea off the web and thought I would try it out. I enjoyed making it for him and trying to figure how in the world to put his name on it. I know jersey's have last names but I wanted his 1st name Tristan enjoying the outdoors. He LOVES to be outside, no matter what the weather is like he wants to be outside, just like his daddy! nice little family photo Blowing out the candle, it was more like trying to grab the candle as you can see with Matthew holding his arm away! Ahh the cake! He was so messy afterwards, I had to wash him down in the tub before we put his clothes on. He has to have a spoon or spork in his hand while he is eating even if he doesn't use it! Presents! He sat with me for a little bit to open a couple gifts, but when they all started to be clothes he wasn't interested and went to sit with dad while I opened the gifts. One of his favorite gifts! He loves to play catch and bat the ball around the house. It's the first thing he goes to find when we get to Grandma Mayes' house. This has to be his absolute favorite though. We couldn't keep him out of this for most of the night. He would sit in the car and fuss until someone started to push him and then he was ok. He got to the point where he was showing off by standing up while the car was moving! Big tough guy! He is such a daddy's boy. When dad is around it's like mom doesn't exist until he is tired or hungry! Once dad walks in the door he will stop what he is doing and go straight for Matthew. It reminds me of the country song where the little boy watches his dad and wants to be like him. Tristan already at 1 year wants to be like dad! Hope you enjoyed the pics, thanks to all who came and for those of you that couldn't be there, we missed you and wished you were there.

Happy Birthday Tristan! Where does the time go seriously? Good job on his cake Stacey. Looks like he got spoiled with presents and I love when little kids love their daddy. Kaleb is the same way. When Braydan is at work, he wanders around the house calling for him and looking for him. Sad. Too bad they're stuck with Moms :)

First birthdays are always so fun but a little sad! Tristan's cake turned out really cute! He is such a cute little guy! Kasen is a daddy's baby too! When I won't let him do something he cries for daddy! Looks like Tristan had a fun Birthday!

Cute cake! It looks like you guys had fun! You look a little like Desirea in those pictures (because of the short dark hair). James LOVES offroading and Jeeps and tools and to "help daddy" when he's working on his friends cars, but when he's not...James is a total Mama's boy and I litterally have to shove him off of me sometimes. I would love it if James wanted to go to Spencer when he got home so that I could have a little break :)
